Growing up in Marine Park Brooklyn, the subway was a gateway out of my sleepy neighborhood. Inspired by the new-found community of so many types of people sharing the same relatively small space, I began observing all of us; commuters, families, friends, strangers -- and making drawings. It's been over ten years and the series continues to evolve as I find new reasons to love my ephemeral little community of fellow riders. The series is now comprised of hundreds of live subway sketches, digital drawings and paintings.
Select pieces from the collection have been exhibited in New York City at The Gershwin Hotel, Sky Gallery, Hadas Gallery and Benrimon Gallery. One piece remains on permanent display at The Zazza Building in Williamsburg.
